Hey there, folks! Angelo here, thrilled to share the behind-the-scenes scoop on our latest Sydney photoshoot with the effortlessly cool Dante.
As a photographer, I've always been fascinated by the raw energy and rebel spirit of the 90's. So, when the opportunity arose to collaborate with Dante, I knew exactly the vibe I wanted to channel: gritty, edgy, and undeniably nostalgic.
To bring this vision to life, we turned to H&M for our wardrobe and fashion essentials. Their collection perfectly captured the essence of the 90's, with worn denim and statement accessories galore.
For me, the magic truly happens in post-production, where I can manipulate light and shadow to evoke mood and emotion. That's why I opted for a black-and-white aesthetic for the final images. It wasn't just about mimicking the monochrome photography of the era—it was about amplifying the contrast, adding depth, and intensifying the emotions captured in each frame.
When it came to the shoot itself, I focused on angles that harked back to the rebellious spirit of the 90's. Low angles, unconventional framing, and candid shots—all reminiscent of the DIY ethos and anti-establishment vibe that defined the era.
Working with Dante was an absolute blast. His natural charisma and laid-back attitude made every shot effortless, capturing the essence of 90's cool with ease. Dante embodied the spirit of grunge in every frame.
